Welcome to fifth grade!
I hope you all had a fantastic summer break with your families and friends! I had a really relaxing summer. I had a few backpacking adventures in Tahoe and Mammoth. I hiked to the top of mountains and swam in freezing cold lakes. Wait, I guess that doesn’t sound very relaxing. 
For the most part, I spent my summer visiting with friends I haven’t seen and reading or running on the beach near my house in Del Mar. I’ve decided Del Mar should be called “Cloud Mar.” 
I am really excited to get this year started! Fifth grade is so awesome! I bet you’re so excited to jump into all the action at school and see your friends. We have lots to learn so make sure to come to school with all your supplies and your pencils sharpened.
